AN ORDINANCE AI.INDING SECTION 396 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE
OF THE CITY OF GILROY RELATIVE TO OBSTRUCTING OR DELAYING THE
PROGRESS OF FIRE APPARATUS AMID DRIVING VEHICLES ON STREET —B ..—
AS TO OBSTRUCT THE WORK OF THE FIB; DEi'ARTMEMT.
The Iitayof and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do
ordain as follows:
Section I.
That Section 396 of the Municipal Code of the City of Gilroy
be amended to read as follows:
Section 396.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons
having control of any vehicle to i�err�iit the same to obstruct or delay
the progress of the apparatue or vehicles of the Fire Department of
the City of Gilroy while going to a fire or responding to an alarm
of fire, and It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to in
any manner interfere with or obstruct the work of the Fire Department
while responding to a fire alarm or while engaged in fighting fire.
It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to drive any
vehicle, other than that carrying fire fighting apparatus, within
One hundred and fifty feet of a point on any street, directly in
front of the building in which the fire is located, when a fire
alarm has been given, or when the mire Department of the City of
Gilroy is engaged in fighting a fire.
Section II.
All ordinances and parts of ordinances in conflict herewith
are hereby repealed.
Section III.
This Ordinanee shall take effect and be in force from and
