The Mayor and Coi.mon Council of the Cit'T of Gilroy do
ordain as follows:-
Section I.
That the ATunicipal Code of the City of Gilroy be amended by
adding thereto a new section to be knotivn as Section 238, Z,,hich
Section shall read as follows:-
:section 230. k.'herever the moving of any building or
structure in the CitAT of Gilroy required the removal or displace-
ment of any wires belonging to the fire alarm system of the City
of Gilroy, the person, firm or corporation moving or intending to
move such building shall give notice thereof to the Chief of the
Fire Department and to the City arshal, and the City ITarshal
shall furnish to such person, firm or corporation an estimate of
the cost of removing and replacing such wires and shall, on re-
ceiving from such pe °son, fire or corporation the amount of such
estimated cost, cause such wires to be removed within twenty -four
hours after the receipt of such deposit.
In case the actual cost of removing such wires and appurtenances
and replacing the same is less than the arnoln:t so deposited, then
the excess of such deposit shall be returned to the person, firm
or corporation by whom the deposit was made.
Section II.
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and
