Dear Tom:
Effective September 15, 2009 South Valley Disposal & Recycling has changed its name to Recology
South Valley.
I have reviewed the Franchise agreement and do not find any section relating to a name change.
This is a name change only and has no effect on the ownership or organizational structure of the
company.
The roll out of our name change will take place over the next several months, beginning with the
invoices received late in October having the Recology South Valley on them. These bills, along with
several cycles of bills following will have both South Valley Disposal & Recycling and Recology South
Valley logos on them.
Our letterhead and other outreach materials will be changed over the next couple of months.
Truck painting and change in logos will likely take place over the next several months.

3. The foregoing amendment to the Articles of Incorporation has been duly approved
by the Board of Directors of the Corporation.

by the required vote of shareholders in accordance with Section 902 of the Califomia Corporations
Code. The total number of outstanding shares of the Corporation is 750 shares of Common Stock.

percentage vote required was more than 50% of the outstanding Common Stock.
