AMENDMENT NO.6
This Amendment shall become effective when it has been signed by the City Administrator, Project Manager,
and Consultant. All copies forwarded to Consultant for signature shall be returned to the City of Gilroy
properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Consultant's copy will be returned to him as his authority
to proceed with the work.
See attached HED contract Amendment #6 which includes identified tasks that have been requested off
performed by Harley Ellis Devereaux during the Construction Phase of the on-going Library Project that are
outside the scope of the original contract and subsequent modifications.
This Amendment extends the term of the Agreement for Services between the City of Gilroy and Harley
Ellis Devereaux, dated January 20, 2012 to April 30, 2013.
All requirements of the original Agreement Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically
modified by this Amendment. The contract time shall not extend unless expressly provided for in this
Amendment.
Harley Ellis Devereaux hereby agrees to make the above changes subject to the terms of this Amendment for
ongoing acquisition/relocation services.

Provide Civil, Landscape, Architectural and Electrical constructions drawings and specifications required to
implement added site scope (Gilroy Plaza) per the Schematic Plan approved at the January, 2012 Ad Hoc
Oversight Committee meeting. Plan check, bidding, and Construction Administration are included for
Architectural and Electrical Engineering in the lump sum below, and per the hourly allowances noted in the
attached sub consultant proposals.
Design Service Fee:
A lump sum of $36,730 (fhirty-Six Thousand Seven HW1dred Thirty Dollars); an hourly allowance not
exceed $3,000 (fhree Thousand Dollars) for Landscape Construction Administration services; an hourly
allowance not to exceed $7500 (Seven Thousand Five Hundred Dollars) for Civil Plan Check and
Construction Administration services; and a lump sum of $3750 (fhree Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty
Dollars) for new site topographic sLltvey.
Reimbursable expenses, as deftned in tl1e original agreement, shall not exceed $5,000 (Five Thousand Dollars)
without prior authorization by tile City.
Design Service Schedule:
Commensurate w/existi.ng project schedule and City of Gilroy requests for service.
Please acknowledge Customer's acceptance by signing in the space set forth below and return
one signed original to our office. Harley Ellis Devereaux will proceed with this Design Service
Request upon receipt of this signed document. Upon your approval, this request will be followed

HANNA & BRUNETTI will perform the following services for the above parcel:
Civil Engineering and Surveying Services for the above referenced project site.
PHASE 1 - FIELD SURVEYING
HANNA & BRUNETTI will perform the following land surveying services for the above parcel:
Perform topography and planimetric survey of the following:
. Rosanna Street and City parking lot to the limits of work shown plus 50'
. adjoining building and infrastructure (including sewer, water, tanks, storm drain, etc.), trees and fences.
. Found monuments
Compile above field data and record boundary Information to prepare topographic map.
ENGINEERING DESIGN
PHASE 2 - ON-SITE ENGINEERING DESIGN PLAN AND SPECIFICATIONS
Engineering design shall be defined as the design of all onsite improvements within the boundaries of the
project, comprising the following items to be designed for plaza & parking lots:
1. Prepare grading and drainage plans in accordance with City Standards, including sanitary sewer, storm
drainage, water distribution, parking lot and surface improvements
2. Coordinate underground facilities with respective utility companies (PG&E, PacBell, & CATV).
3. Prepare grading and drainage plans and storm drainage calculations in accordance with City Standards.
4. Prepare erosion control plan in accordance with City Standards
5. Prepare Engineer's quantity take-off and estimate of probable construction cost.
6. Prepare specifications for the the project
7. Prepare demolition plan for existing pavement
PHASE 3 - RESPONSE TO PLAN CHECK COMMENTS, MEETINGS, BIDDING, AND CONSTRUCTION

SCHEDULE
All tasks will be performed in accordance with schedules developed between Hanna & Brunetti and client as
the scope of work evolves and becomes more defined.
COMPENSATION

Compensation shall be on a lump sum basis for phase 1 and 2; time and materials basis not to exceed for
phase 3 specified above and in the AGREEMENT. Compensation shall be on time and materials basis for all
extra work as provided in this AGREEMENT. The total time and material amount shall be at the hourly rate
schedule in the Schedule of Charges. Payment shall be in accordance with the Terms & Conditions of the
AGREEMENT.
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Hanna & Brunetti will perform the above scope of services on a lump sum or time and materials basis in
accordance with the attached Agreement for Professional Services. Time and materials fees will be based on
our current hourly Fee Schedule, which is attached. Client will be invoiced in accordance with the conditions
stated in the "Agreement For Professional Services" from which is attached.
Additional services for blueprints and other reprographics services required by client, title company,
governmental agencies, client's contractor, and any other persons authorized by client will be billed in
accordance with the attached rate schedule. This does not include prints, which are run for in-house, or
construction staking use.
PAYMENT
The fee will be billed on a monthly progress billing with receipt of payment within thirty (30) bays of billing. The
progress billing will be computed upon an hourly service basis in accordance with the attached fee schedule.
At 60 days past due, Consultant will cease work on the project and notify the Client of such action in writing.
Client is responsible for notifying, in writing, of any intention to terminate or postpone further work by
Consultant. Any additional work requested by Client determined to be outside the scope of work shall require
an amended contract.
SERVICES NOT INCLUDED
This contract does not include the following tasks:
1. Attend and represent project at any City Councilor other Commission meeting.
2. Solicit construction bids from General Contractors and/or coordinate bidding process.
3. Resolution of encumbrances, conflicts, and/or assist the Client as expert witness in project litigation.
4. Payment of all City/County/Governmental Agency fees, which are the responsibility of the Owner.
5. A.L.T.A.! As-built surveys or lot certifications.
6. Joint trench / Electrical! utility plan layout and design, to include PG&E, PacBell & CATV.
7. Geotechnical, Mechanical, Fire Flow Engineering. (A Soils Report will be required for this project)
8. Fencing, Street/Lot Lighting, Parking/Striping layout and/or Landscaping Plans.
9. Construction Management, Construction Related Certifications, or Inspection.
10. Preparation of any environmental documents.
11. Off-site improvements
12. Structural Calculations for buildings, footings, and/or retaining walls.
13. Preliminary title reports or other title research/work. (A Title-Report will be required for this project)
