AMENDMENT NO. 13
This Amendment shall become effective when it has been signed by the City Administrator, Project Manager,
and Consultant. All copies forwarded to Consultant for signature shall be returned to the City of Gilroy
properly filled out. Upon acceptance by the City, the Consultant's copy will be returned to him as his authority
to proceed with the work.
See attached HED contract Amendment # 13 (not -to- exceed $15,500.00). HED will provide the following:
Per discussion at our 1/24/13 meeting in Gilroy, we will redesign the 3 story scheme provided under DSR 12
to minimize overall height by lowering grade level to match Church Street, revising the Rosanna Street entry
accordingly, and provide a maximum of three alternate exterior schemes to "blend" the proposed building
with the surrounding neighborhood and Civic Center.
We plan to review these exterior schemes with you at a meeting in Gilroy the week of 2/11/13 and, based on
an approved exterior scheme, provide a new digital rendering from the same vantage point at the intersection
of 7th and Church Streets used in the two previous digital renderings. The rendering should be finished for
presentation to the City Council at their 2/25/13 meeting.
We will also update the parking counts and the CAD plan files for two Options (one with and one without
the adjacent County building).
We will provide one digital rendering, based on the angle and view approved for previous renderings, using a
rendered 3D model of the new building design, and a site context photograph. The building itself will have a
slightly different quality than the surrounding detail, because one is a model and the other is a photograph,
per the sample forwarded for approval by Nova on August 3.
This Amendment extends the term of the Agreement for Services between the City of Gilroy and Harley
Ellis Devereaux, dated January 20, 2012 to April 30, 2013.
All requirements of the original Agreement Documents shall apply to the above work except as specifically
modified by this Amendment. The contract time shall not extend unless expressly provided for in this
Amendment.
Harley Ellis Devereaux hereby agrees to make the above changes subject to the terms of this Amendment for
ongoing acquisition/relocation services.

Design Service Fee:
The proposed fee for these services will be a lump sum of $14,500 (Fourteen Thousand Five Hundred
Dollars).
Reimbursable expenses, as defined in the original agreement, shall not exceed $1,000 (One Thousand Dollars)
without prior authorization by the City.
Design Service Schedule:
Commensurate w /existing project schedule and City of Gilroy requests for service.
Please acknowledge Customer's acceptance by signing in the space set forth below and return one signed
original to our office. Harley Ellis Devereaux will proceed with this Design Service Request upon receipt of
this signed document. Upon your approval, this request will be followed up with a formal Contract,
Supplemental Agreement and or a Contract Modification.
