RESOLUTION NO. 80- 72
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING ENGINEER AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION
OF AGREEMENT FOR ENGINEERING SERVICES IN CONNECTION
WITH EAST NINTH STREET ET AL. ASSESSMENT DISTRICT
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Gilroy, California,
that
WHEREAS, this Council proposes to undertake proceedings pursuant
to appropriate special assessment and assessment bond acts for the
acquisition, construction and financing of public improvements in said
City~
WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served
by appointing and employing an engineer for the preparation and conduct
of said proceedings and work in connection with said acquisitions and
improvements~ and
WHEREAS, W. J. HANNA & SON, Civil Engineers & Surveyors, is
qualified to perform said work, and a form of agreement between the
City of Gilroy and W. J. Hanna & Son for engineering services necessary
for said proceedings has been presented to this Council~
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That W. J. HANNA & SON, Civil Engineers & Surveyors be, and
it is hereby, appointed as Engineer of Work, and employed to do and
perform all engineering work necessary in and for said special
assessment proceedings in accordance with the terms and conditions of
said Agreement.
2. That the Mayor of this City be, and he is hereby, authorized
and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the City of
Gilroy, and the City Clerk of this City be, and she is hereby,
authorized to attest to said Agreement and affix the corporate seal of
the City thereto.

3. That the Director of Public Works of said City is hereby
directed to examine and approve the engineering documents, and to
provide inspection of the construction and acquisition of said
improvements and to accept said work when done to his satisfaction.
The cost of said inspection shall be assessed as an incidental expense
of said proceedings.

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was duly and
regularly adopted and passed by the City Council of the City of Gilroy,
California, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th
day of
August
, 1980, by the fOllowing vote of the members thereof:
