Resolution 1168 RESOLUTION]] 68 RESOLUTION OF COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING CERTAIN WEEDS GROWING IN THE CITY OF GILROY TO BE A PUBLIC NUISANCE, DESCRIBING WEEDS WHICH CON- STITUTE SUCH NUISANCE, AND PROVIDING FOR GIVING NOTICE OF THE ADOPTION OF THE RESOLUTION BY PUBLICATION THEREOF. WHEREAS, certain weeds are growing in the City of Gilroy upon the various streets, alleys, sidewalks and upon private property, which said weeds bear seeds of a wingy or downy nature, or which may attain such growth as to become, when dry, a fire menace, or which are otherwise noxious and dangerous; and WHEREAS, said weeds constitute a public nuisance; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY, AS FOLLOWS: ]. That said weeds do now constitute and will continue to consti- tute a public nuisance, and it is ordered that said public nuisance be abated in the manner provided by Ordinance No. 754. 2. That said nuisance exists upon all of the streets, alleys, side- walks and private property within said City as shown, described and de- I ineated on the several maps of the property in the City which are recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Santa Clara, reference in each instance for the description of any particular street, alley or priv- ate property being hereby made to the several maps aforesaid, and in the event of there being severa] subdivision maps on which said lots are shown, reference is hereby made to the latest subdivision map. 3. That it is ordered that Monday, the 18th day of December, 1967, at the hour of 8:00 p.m. of said day in the Council Chambers of the City Council of the City of Gi]roy, ]0 South Rosanna Street, is hereby fixed as the time and place when objections to the proposed destruction or removal of said weeds shall be heard and given due consideration. - ]- /1&:,8 4. That the Chief of the Fire Department of the City of Gilroy is hereby ordered and directed to cause notice of the adoption of this reso- ]ution and notice of said hearing to be given in the manner and form provided in said Ordinance No. 754, and to cause said notice to be published twice in the Gilroy Evening Dispatch, a newspaper of general circulation and printed and published in the City of Gilroy, at least ten (]O) days prior to said hearing.
