Resolution 891 '- -... f~"- , 1 "0" RESOLUTION NO. 891 RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DECLARING THAT PROJECT FOR THE PLANTING OF TURF AND FOR THE PRO- CURING AND INSTALLATION OF A SPRINKLER SYSTEM ON THE PREMISES KNOWN AS CHRISTMAS HILL PARK, BELONGING TO THE CITY OF GILROY CAN BE DONE MORE ECONOMICALLY-BY DAY LABOR AND THE MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES THEREFOR FURNISHED AT A LOWER PRICE ON THE OPEN ~JffiKET THAN CAl~ BE OBTAINED BY SUBMITTING THE PROJECT TO BIDS WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy is about to undertake a project for the sowing of seed for turf on a portion of the premises be- longing to the City of Gilroy commonly known as Christmas Hill Park and to secure and install a spriru(ler system for the watering of said turf; and WHEREAS, it is the considered opinion of this Council, and it so finds, that said project can be performed more economically by day labor and the materials and supplies required in the said project can be obtained at a lower price in the open market than the project will cost if submitted to bids under the provisions of Section 37902 of the Government Code; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the said project shall be done and the materials, supplies and labor secured and furnished therefor without advertising for bids, as permitted by Section 1109 of the Charter of the City of Gilroy governing such cases.
