Resolution 1979- 08 . . .. ~ RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 8 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY APPROVING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR A STATE ENERGY CONSERVATION EDUCATION GRANT. WHEREAS, the State of California has established a grant fund for its political subdivisions to develop Energy Conservation Education Projects; and WHEREAS, saidprocedures established by the State Office of Energy Conservation requires the applicant to certify by resolution the approval of applications prior to submission of said applications to the state; and WHEREAS, the applicant agency is prepared to enter into an agreement with the State of California for the development of this project; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council hereby: 1) Approves the filing of an application for state grant assistance for said program; and 2) Certifies that said City understands the assurances in the application; and 3) Certifies that said City has or will have sufficient funds to continue the project; and 4) Appoints the City Administrator as agent of the City to conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all documents including but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on which may be necessary for the completion of the aforementioned project.
