RESOLUTION NO. 79 - 13 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR A CERTIFICATE OF CONSENT TO SELF-INSURE THE PAYMENT OF WORKERS' COMPENSATION AS PROVIDED BY SECTION 3700, LABOR CODE OF CALIFORNIA. WHEREAS, it will be in the City's fiscal interest to study and implement a self-insurce "~.Jorkers' Compensation Insurance Program"; and WHEREAS, the City desires to proceed with this study irrrrnediately. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council hereby authorizes the City Administrator to undertake all actions necessary to pursue and establish such a City self-insured "Workers' Compensation Insurance Plan" including the filing of an application for a Certificate of Consent to Self Insure.
