RESOLUTION NO. 94 - 70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY HONORING AND
COMMENDING THE SERVICES OF LARRY JAMES, CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL UPON HIS
RETIREMENT .
WHEREAS, LARRY JAMES, Chief Building Official has served the city
of Gilroy for over twelve years; and
WHEREAS, LARRY JAMES, Chief Building Official has declared that he
will retire from the City of Gilroy on November 1, 1994; and
WHEREAS, during his long period of loyal service, always performed
his duties conscientiously, honestly and with the best interests of the City
of Gilroy; and
WHEREAS, LARRY JAMES, Chief Building Official has served on
numerous boards and committees on behalf of and for the City:
o President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer, Peninsula
Chapter, International Conference of Building Officials;
o Western Representative, International Conference of Building
Officials, International Association of Electrical Inspectors;
o Member, California Building Officials, International Association
of Plumbing & Mechanical Officials; and
o numerous other professional affiliations.
WHEREAS, the Gilroy City Council desires to take this opportunity
to honor LARRY JAMES, Chief Building Official, for his conscientious and
faithful service to the City and the community at large.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Gilroy City Council does
hereby commend and honor LARRY JAMES, Chief Building Official, for his loyal
and faithful service to his fellow citizens, community and country and wish
LARRY JAMES and his family continued success and happiness in all future
endeavors.

PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 1994, by the
following vote:
AYES: COUNCILMEMBERS: GILROY, KLOECKER, MORALES, ROGERS, ROWLISON,
VALDEZ and GAGE.

hereby certify that the attached Resolution No. 94-70 is an original
