RESOLUTION NO. 2003-39
A RESOLUTION ORDERING THE V ACA TION OF A
PORTION OF A PUBLIC STREET KNOWN AS RENZ LANE
ADJACENT TO LOT 6 AS SHOWN ON THE MAP OF "TRACT
9401, HIGHWAY 152 RETAIL CENTER" FILED AUGUST 16,
2002, IN BOOK 751, PAGES 10-15, RECORDS OF SANTA
CLARA COUNTY CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 4 of the California Streets and
Highway Code, section 8330 et seq., the City Council may summarily vacate a public street that
has been superseded by relocation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council having duly considered all evidence, and followed the
procedure prescribed by law, hereby finds and determines from all evidence submitted that the
portion of the public street known as Renz Lane, as fully described in Exhibit A" as attached
hereto and incorporated by this reference, conforms with the provisions of section 8330 of the
California Streets and Highway Code, because said portion of Renz Lane has been superseded by
relocation due to the construction of the new Renz Lane and Camino Arroyo Roadway.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY, AS FOLLOWS:
1. That a portion of the public street known as Renz Lane was relinquished by the
State of California to the City in June 1971, and the remaining portion of Renz Lane dedicated to
the City with the Pachecho Pass annexation in June 1970. Said portion of the public street
known as Renz Lane was required by the City until the City extended Camino Arroyo north of
Highway 152.
2. That the order of vacation of the portion of the public street known as Renz Lane
conforms to Streets and Highway Code section 8330 because the existing portion of Renz Lane

between the newly constructed Renz Lane connection and Highway 152 has been superseded by
relocation due to the construction of the new Renz and Camino Arroyo Roadway.
3. That the City Council, pursuant to Streets and Highway Code, Chapter 4, Section
8330 et seq., hereby orders the vacation of the portion of Renz Lane described in Exhibit "A"
attached hereto, having determined that it has been superseded by relocation.
4. This Resolution shall become effective on June 16,2003, and shall be recorded by
the City Clerk in the Santa Clara County Recorder's Office shortly thereafter.
5. From and after the date this Resolution is recorded in the Santa Clara County
Recorder's Office, the portion of Renz Lane described in Exhibit "A" shall revert to Lot 6.

STREET VACATION
REAL PROPERTY in the City of Gilroy, County of Santa Clara, State of California, being a
portion of Renz Lane (formerly Old Gilroy Road) as shown on the certain Map entitled "Map of
the Subdivision of the Elizabeth H. Martin Tract" filed for record in Book F of Maps, page 31,
Santa Clara County Records, and of that parcel of land described in the deed to the County of
Santa Clara recorded in Book 8232 of Official Records, page 470, Santa Clara County Records,
described as follows:
BEGINNING at the most westerly corner of said Lot 6 as shown on that certain Map of Tract
9401 filed for record in Book 751 of Maps, pages 10 through 15, Santa Clara County Records;
Thence along the general southerly line of said Lot 6, the following five courses:
1. Thence South 82049'04" East, 179.55 feet;
2. Thence northeasterly along a non-tangent curve to the left, having a radius of 120.00
feet, whose center bears North 11020'51" West, through a central angle of 6045'07" for
an arc length of 14.14 feet;
3. Thence North 71054'01" East, 151.75 feet;
4. Thence along a tangent curve to the right, having a radius of 93.00 feet, through a
central angle of 85042'52" for an arc length of 139.13 feet;
5. Thence South 22023'07" East, 11.98 feet, to the southerly line of said Lot 6;
Thence along the southwesterly extension of said southerly line, along a non-tangent curve to
the left, having a radius of 1267:39 feet, whose center bears South 4006'55" East, through a
central angle of 13031 '55" for an arc length of 299.33 feet, to the most northerly corner of that
parcel of land described in the deed to the City of Gilroy recorded under Recorder's Serial
Number 16172654 of Official Records, Santa Clara County Records, being on the southwesterly
line of Renz Lane;
Thence along said southwesterly line, North 82049'04" West, 360.77 feet;
Thence North 31026'56" West, 1.28 feet, to the southwesterly extension of the northwesterly line
of said Lot 6;
