RESOLUTION NO. 89-3
A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF
THE CITY OF GILROY, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
PROJECT AREA BOUNDARY CHANGES FOR THE CITY
OF GILROY COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
AREA
RESOLVED, by the Community Development Agency of the City
of Gilroy, California, that:
WHEREAS, the California Community Redevelopment Law
provides that the Planning Commission may select one or more
project areas comprising all or part of any survey area
designated by the City Council for redevelopment study
purposes; and
WHEREAS, on September 19, 1988, the City Council of the
City of Gilroy (the "City Council") adopted Resolution No.
88-60 designating the survey area for the Gilroy Community
Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area"); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy
(the "Planning Commission"), in cooperation with the Community
Development Agency of the City of Gilroy (the "Agency"), has
reviewed the survey area and on October 6, 1988, by Resolution
No. 88-24, the Planning Commission selected the boundaries for
the Gilroy Community Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, since the time of selection of the Project Area
boundaries, further studies have been conducted from which it
has been determined that certain parcels should be deleted
from the Project Area; and
WHEREAS, the parcels proposed for deletion from the
Project Area boundaries are set forth in Exhibit A attached
hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and

WHEREAS, pursuant to California Health & Safety Code
Section 33326, prior to publication of notice of the Agency
joint public hearing on the proposed adoption of a
redevelopment plan, the Planning Commission may change the
boundaries of a project area with the approval of the Agency;
and
WHEREAS, on April 6, 1989, by Resolution No. 89-5 , the
Planning Commission of the City of Gilroy modified the
Project Area boundaires by deleting the parcels set forth in
Exhibit A from the Project Area, subject to Agency approval.
BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED THAT:
1. That the modification of the Project Area boundaries
described in Planning Commission Resolution No. 89-_~ is
hereby approved pursuant to Health & Safety Code Section 33326.
2. That staff is hereby directed to transmit
notification of the modification in the Project Area
boundaries to all affected taxing entities and the State Board
of Equalization by transmitting a description and map
indicating each boundary change made within 30 days of
adoption of this resolution, as provided in Health & Safety
Code Section 33326.
Passed and adopted this 17th day of April, 1989 by the
