DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. For the purpose of setting forth proper
regulations for selling, installing, maintaining and r-epairing
of appliances and/or :~~as piping on the outlet side of gas meters
for use within said City and providing inspection thereof, the
issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor, the
licensing of persons engaged in the business thereof, the
imposing of penalties for violation of this ordinance, the
Standard Gas Code recommended by the Pacific Coast Plumbing
Inspectors Association as amended October 11, 1940, and as
hereinafter set forth, is hereby adopted; save and excepting
that Section II thereof and Section VI thereof are not a part
of this Ordinance, and are not adopted under or pursuant to the
terms of this Ordinance.
SECTION 2. Any person, firm, partnership, or
corporation violating any of the provisions of this ordinance
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction

thereof' shall be punished by a fine of' not more than One
Hundred (:_;100.00) Dollars or by imprisonment in the City
Jail. for a period of not more than thirty (30) days, or by
both such tine ancl imprisonment. Each day or fraction thereof
any person, firm, partnership, or corporation shall violate
any of the provisions hereof shall be considered separate and
distinct offenses.
SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force from and after is passage and approval.
