AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING SUBSECTION 2 of SECTION
69 OF ORDINANCE NO. 480, GENERALLY KNOWN AS THE TRAFFIC ORDINANCE,
BY CHANGING THE DIRECTION OF TRAFFIC ON THE ALLEY ALONG THE WESTERLY
SIDE OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILWAY COMPANVS RIGHT OF WAY FROM MARTIN
STREET TO LEWIS STREET, A ONE-WAY ALLEY.
THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION ONE: Subsection Two of Section 69, as shown in
Article 14, of Ordinance No. 480, generally known as the traffic
Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, is hereby amended to read as follows:
2. Only north bound traffic shall be permitted on the
alleys along the west side of the SouthemPacific Railway
Company's right of way from Old Gilroy Street to Martin
Street, and only south bound traffic shall be permitted
on the alley along the west side of the said Southern Paci-
fic Railway Company's right of way from Martin Street to
Lewis Street.
SECTION TWO: The Chief Administrative officer of the City
of Gilroy shall cause to be erected and maintained appropriate signs
giving notice of the requirements of this Ordinance.
SECTION THREE: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
SECTION FOUR: This Ordinance shall take effect and be
in full force from and after its passage and adoption.
ADOPTED AND PASSED this 7 day of October, 1957, by the
following votes:
