ORDINANCE NO. 620
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 480 OF THE
CITY OF GILROY, REGULATING TRAFFIC UPON THE PUBLIC STREETS AND RE-
PEALING CERTAIN ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF GILROY BY AMENDING SECTIONS
43 AND 72 OF THE SAID TRAFFIC ORDINANCE SO AS TO PERMIT UNRESTRICTED
PARKING OF AUTOMOBILES BELONGING TO OWNERS OR LESSEES OF RESIDENCES
LOCATED ALONG EITHER SIDE OF EIGLEBERRY STREET BETWEEN FOURTH STREET
AND SIXTH STREET IN THE CITY OF GILROY, UPON OBTAINING PERMIT FROM
THE POLICE DEPARTMENT.
THE MAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DO ORDAIN
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Section 43 of Ordinance No. 480 of the City of
Gilroy is hereby amended by adding a subdivision thereto to be known
as Subdivision AC)~ to read as follows:

(c) The foregoing provisions of this section of the Traffic
Ordinance Noo 480~ shall not apply to the owner or lessee
of a residence, living in or occupying a dwelling situated
on either side of Eigleberry Street between Fourth Street
and Sixth Street in the City of Gilroy in cases wnere there
is no garage or other parking area or facilitiesarailable
w
for motor vehicle upon the dwelling property; where
there are no parking facilities available as provided
in this subdivisiong the owner or operator of a motor
vehicle shall, nevertheless, be restricted as provided
for in Subdivisions (a) and (b) of Section 43, unless
and until he obtains a permit from the Police Department
of the City of Gilroy, which shall be attached to the
vehicle, authorizing the unrestricted parking of suCh
vehicle on the said hereinbefore described portion of
Eigleberry Streeto Application for such a permit must
be made in writing and shall only be granted by the Police
Department after an inspection of the premises involvedo
SECTION 2: Section 72 of said Ordinance Noo 480 of the City
of Gilroy is hereby amended by making the provisions thereof subject
to the foregoing subdivision (c) of Section No. 430
SECTION 3: All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict
with this Ordinance are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full
force from and after the expiration of ten (10) days following the
adoption thereofo
