ORDINANCE NO. 661
ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 422 AS SET FORTH IN
APPENDIX A OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF GILROY BY ORGINALLY
ZONING PREMISES CONSTITUTING CASTLEWOOD PARK ANNEXATION
NO.3.
The Council of the City of Gilroy does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. That the area in the City of Gilroy known
and designated as Cast1ewood Park Annexation No.3, not heretofore
zoned be, and the same is hereby zoned as follows:
That the following described portions of said Cast1ewood
Park Annexation No. 3 be, and the same is hereby zoned as
Distr ict "A":
"BEGINNING at the southwesterly corner of Tract No. 2023
"Cast1ewood Park, Unit No.3" as shown on the map thereof
recorded in Book 90 of Maps at pages 40 and 41, Records
of Santa Clara County, California, and running thence
along the southerly line of that certain 157.788 acre
parcel of land described in the deed to the San Martin
Vineyards Co. recorded in Volume 2627 at page 215,
Official Records of Santa Clara County, N. 890 101 3011
w. ~50.00 feet to the southeasterly corner of that certain
11.285 acre parcel of land as described in the Final
Order of Condemnation, Action No. 116021 had in the
Superior Court of the State of California, in and for
the County of Santa Clara, entitled "Gilroy School
District of Santa Clara County, plaintiffs, vs., San
Martin Vineyards Co., a co-partnership, et a1, defendants~
certified copy of said order is recorded in Volume 4896
at page 254 of Official Records of Santa Clara County;
thence northerly along the easterly line of said 11.285
acre parcel of land 951.14 feet to the northeasterly
corner thereof; thence westerly along the northerly
line thereof 176.28 feet to a point on the boundary of
"Cast1ewood Park Annexation No.3 to the City of Gilroy;"
thence northerly along the westerly boundary of said
Annexation 948.14 feet to an angle point in said boundary;
thence westerly along the southerly line of said Annexation
940.00 feet, more or less, to an angle point in said
boundary; thence northerly along said boundary 150.00
feet to the northerly line of the said 157.788 ~ore
parcel of land conveyed to the San Martin Vineyards
Co.; thence easterly along said northerly line 1260.00
feet, more or less to the northwesterly corner of Tract
No. 1232 "Cast1ewood Park, Unit No.2" as shown on the
map thereof recorded in Book 53 of Maps at pages 12
and 13, Records of Santa Clara County; thence southerly
along the westerly line of said tracts 2023 and 1232 2002.27
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning.1I
That the following described portions of said Cast1ewood
Park Annexation No. 3 be, and the same is hereby zoned as
District liB":
BEING a portion of that certain parcel of land conveyed

to the San Martin Vineyards Co., a co-partnership, by deed recorded
in Volume 4027 at page 342, Official Records of Santa Clara County,
California, and being more particularly described as follows:
"BEGINNING at a point in the easterly line of the said
parcel of land conveyed to the San Martin Vineyards Co.,
and running thence along said easterly line southerly
300.00 feet to the southeasterly corner thereof; thence
westerly along the southerly line thereof 1128.18 feet,
more or less, to the southeasterly corner of the portion
of said lands conveyed to the St. Maryts Cemetery; thence
northerly along the easterly line of said Cemetery Lands
300.00 feet; thence easterly and parallel with the
southerly line of the Hecker Pass Highway 1128.18 feet,
more or less, to the point of beginning. II
That the fo11~ng described portions of said Cast1ewood
Park Annexation No. 3 be, and the same is hereby zoned as District
"C-1":
BEING a portbn of that certain parcel of land conveyed
to the San Martin Vineyards Co., a co-partnership, by deed re-
corded in Volume 4027 at page 342, Official Records of Santa
Clara County, California, and being more particularly described
as follows:
"BEGINNING at the northeasterly corner of the said parcel
of land conveyed to the San Martin Vineyards Co. in
the southerly line of the Hecker Pass Highway and running
thence westerly along the southerly line of the Hecker Pass
Highway 1128.18 feet, more or less to the northeasterly
corner of the portion of said lands of the San Martin
Vineyards Co., conveyed to the St. Maryts Cemetery;
thence southerly along the easterly line of said Cemetery
Lands 473.00 feet; thence easterly and parallel with the
southerly line of the Hecker Pass Highway 1128.18 feet,
more or less, to the easterly line of the said lands of
the San Martin Vineyards Co.; thence northerly along the
said easterly line 473.00 feet to the point of beginning."
SECTION 2. Reference is hereby had to the maps and
general zoning ordinance of the City of Gilroy now on file in
the Office of the City Clerk and the boundaries of said "A"
DISTRICT, said "B" DISTRICT, and of "C-111 DISTRICT shall be
changed in accordance with and to conform to this Ordinance and
the map constituting a part of said Ordinance No. 422 of the
City of Gilroy, in s aid Ordinance and herein referred to, shall
be made to conform to the changes herein set forth.
SECTION 3. All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in
conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
