ORDINANCE NO. 898
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY RESCINVING
ORDINANCE NO. 896 AND ORDERING SPECIAL MUNICIPAL
ELECTION CANCELLED
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy on the
26th day of August, 1970, did adopt its Ordinance No. 896 en-
titled lIAn Ordinance Calling A Special Municipal Election To
Obtain Approval of Increasing Interest Rate on the Unissued
Portion of $950,000 of Bonds Authorized April 8, 1969"j and
WHEREAS, the need for submitting a proposition to obtain
approval of increasing interest rate has been obviated due to a
sale of the $600,000 City of Gilroy library bondsj
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS ORDERED, as follows:
1. That Ordinance No. 896, the title of which is cited in
this ordinance above, be, and the same is hereby, rescinded.
2. That the special municipal election called and ordered
by Ordinance No. 896 is hereby cancelled.
3. This ordinance, being an ordinance relating to an
election, shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
