ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF GILROY AMENDING
THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF SAID CITY BY
PREZONING APPKOXIMATELY 76 ACE.ES ADJOINING
THE CITY OF GILROY SOUTH OF LAS ANIMAS
AVENUE BETWEEN MURRAY AVENUE AND THE
SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY AS M1
(LIMITED INDUSTRIAL) AND PF (PARK/PUBLIC
FACILITY)DISTRICTS.
WHEREAS, ROBERT KISHIMURA, ET AL, and THE CITY
OF GILROY have heretofore filed with the Planning Commission
of the City of Gilroy a petition in due form requesting the
prezoning of approximately 76 acres as MI (Limited Industrial)
and PF (Park/Public Facility) Districts; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of
Gilroy has given due notice of a public hearing upon the
said application, in accordance with the Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Gilroy, has held the hearing, has approved a
Negative Declaration under the California Environmental Quality
Act, and has made its report to the Council of the City of
Gilroy, ir. which it recommends that the 76 acres hereinafter
described be prezoned as set forth above; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Gilroy has fixed
the 15th day of April, 1985, at the hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m.
in the Council Chambers in the City Hall at 7351 Rosanna Street,
Gilroy, California, as the time and place for hearing the said
report and recommendation upon the said application, and notice
of the said hearing has been given in accordance with the said
Zoning Ordinance, and a public hearing has now been held upon
the said application before the Council, and the Council having
duly considered the said application and the evidence presented,

has approved the Negative Declaration under the California
Environmental Quality Act, and has determined that the
said Zoning Ordinance should be amended in accordance.with
the report of the said Planning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
GILROY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
'Section 1: The Zoning Ordinance of the City of
Gilroy is hereby amended by prezoning to become effective
upon annexation and placing approximately 76 acres in MI and
PF Districts, as the same are described and defined in the
Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy, the following described
premises:
Ail that property located in the County of
Santa Clara, State of California, described
as follows:
That 76 acres, more or less, adjoining
the City of Gilroy south of Las Animas Avenue
between Murray Avenue and the Southern
Pacific Railroad right of way, and shown as
parcels nos. 835-01-005, 006, 007, 026,
031 and 835-02-001 through 008, 011, 012 and 013
in the Santa Clara County Tax Assessor's Map Book,
with the Santa Clara Valley Water District storm
channel to be prezoned PF and the balance to be
prezoned Mi.
Section 2: The official map constituting a part
of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Gilroy shall be
amended to reflect the foregoing changes of classification of
the said property.
Section 3:
All ordinances and parts of ordinances
in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.

Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect
and be in full force thirty (30) days from and after its
passage and approval.
