Gilroy, Calif., March 26th, 1934.
The regular adjourned meeting of the Corrrmon Council of Mar.
5th, 1934, was called to order by His Honor 1myor Elmer d.
Chesbro.
Present Councilmen Geo. Easton, J. H. Rush, Fred C. Boock,
Geo. A. Wentz, Geo. C. Milias, dr.; Absent Councilman
S. D. Heck.
Motion by Councilman J. H. Rush, seconded by Counoilman
Geo. A. Wehtz that the following Resolution be passed and
adopted:-
RESOLUTION NO. ~6.
~EEREAS, there is to be an election of the officers of the
City of Gilroy to be held on May 7th, 1934, for the ensuing
term, now, therefore
BE IT RESOLVED:
That pursuant to the provisions of Section 48 of the Charter
of the City of Gilroy, the compensation of the officers of said
City for the term ensuing be and the same is fixed as follows:
The City Clerk and Assessor shall be paid the sum of
<< lOO.OO pe~month for his services each month.

The City Marshal and Tax Collector shall be paid the sum of

~ 150.00 per month for his services each month.
Any other officer of said City of Gilroy not specifically
mentioned shall be paid the same salary as such officer has
received during the present or existing term.
Vote; Ayes, Councilmen Geo. Easton, d. H. Rush, Geo. A.
Wentz, Geo. C. Milias, Jr.;
Noes, Councilmen, None; Absent
Councilman S. D. Heck.
Motion by Wentz duly seconded and carried:
That the City
Attorney be instructed; to draw up an Ordinance regulating the
fee to be paid the City Marshal.

Petition opposing the establishment of a mortuary on Forest
Street presented and ordered placed on file.
