This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called
to order by His Honor Mayor S.D.Heck.

BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Common Council of the
City of Gilroy, that said City of Gilroy hereby accepts the
conveyance hereto attached and consents to the recordation
thereof. Said conveyance granting to the City of Gilroy,
certain streets and an alley in the James A. Clayton & Co's.
Addition to the City of Gilroy, and wherein M. E. THO}~S,
single, and HARRY C. SCHOIJTEN and LIBBIE A. SCHOLTEN, his wife
are Grantors, and the CITY OF GILROY, a Municipal Corporation,
is Gr8.ntee.
Passed, approved and adopted this 25th day of June, 1939
at a riga+!r adjourned meeting of the Common Council of the

The matter of the portion of the pipe line from the dam to the
reservoir to be replaced is discussed and it is agreed that Gordon
E.Chappell,successful bidder for this work, shall contact the City
Attorney the morning of June 2?th,to draw up and agreement with
reference to tarring of joints inside and testing the new pipe
under air pressure.
Mr.P.Perrelli residing at l7 North Hanna Street,appears before the
Council to again make a complaint about the noise from a church
located at the northwest corner of Hanna and Sixth Streets,adjacent
to hi s property.
The Clerk is instructed to write to Rev.Arthur Hyland asking him
to attend the meeting of the Council,July 5,l939.
The matter of old lumber on the property located at the northeast
corner of Sixth & Eigleberry streets is discussed the ~ayor stating
that he will discuss tpe matter with the City Marshal.
Mr. Irvin Hollister appears before the Council With an offer to
furnish the city with road oil,to repair the road in Owsley Park,
at the rate of $5.95 per hundred gallens.
The Clerk is instructed to write to the Division of Highways and
request-that Mr.Mattos contact City Engineer Walter Hanna for the
purpose of budgeting the city's share of gasoline tax money.

The matter of the I.O.O.F.Childrents Home using the city dump at the
Sewer Farm is discussed and it is agreed that they De permitted to
