This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor S.D. Heck.
Present:Councilmen-George C.Milias,Jr.,Jack Rogers,James Battersby,
George A.Martin,Beorge M.Mason,Nat Heiner. Absent:Councilmen-None.
RESOLUTION NO.Ill is presented and read.
Motion by Councilman Milias,seconded by Councilman Rogers that
RESOLUTION NO.lll be adopted:

BE IT RESOLVED by the :Mayor and Common Council of the City
of Gilroy, that permission is hereby given to the State of Cali-
fornia to connect a water Bipe line to the certain water pipe
line owned by the City of ilroy and located at or near the
Fifth Green of the Mpnicipal Golf Course belonging to said City
and also, said City agrees to furnish a water supply at said point
to be used by a c.c.c. C~p to be located on the certain ranch
known as the Arlington Ranch.
The charge for said service shall be as follows:
The sum of Three and 50/100 ($3.50) Dollars per month, mini-
mum charge and to be payment for the first 11,000 gallons used
each month. thereafter, there shall be paid the sum of Fifteen
Cents (~5~ for each thousand gallons over the said 11,000 gallons
each month. Payments shall be made as provided by the rules of
said City.
Per.mission is also given to the said State of California to
construct a pipe line across the property belonging to said City
from the point of connection to the so-called Burchell Road.
This Resolution shall be and remain in full force and effect
during such time as payment for such water shall be promptly made
and for a period of not to exceed five (5) years from the date
hereof unless further continued by mutual agreement.

the name of John J.Sheehy and described as Lot 5,Block 2,South Range
5 East,City of Gilroy,said property havink appeared on the delin~ent
tax roll for a period of six years. This matter 'is laid over.
The Clerk is i:qstructed to prepare a list of all prorerty a.nlthe
~i,ty that has apl,leared on the delinquent tax rolls for a per iod of
five or more years.
The purchase of a new fire engine for the city is dmscussed. The
Mayor now appoints the Fire Committee -Councilmen Heiner,Milias and
Rogers, and Mayor S. D. Hec k as ex-officio member of said committee,
to investigate the cost of a new fire engine, the cost of placi~ the
present engine in first class condition and the prospeots of reduced
fire insurance rates in the event a ~ew engine is purchased.
