This regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to
order by His Honor Mayor S. D. Heck.
Present:Councilmen-George C.Milias,3r.,Jack Rogers,George A.Martin,
Nat He~ner. Absent:Councilmen-James Battersby,George M.Mason.
The matter of extension of the drainage pipe line on the high school
grounds,due to improvements being made,is discussed.No action is takem.
The request for the placing of a sign,"Episcopal Church",on the east
ourb11ne of Monterey street at the southeast corner of Monterey and
Martin streets,is discussed. The Clerk is instructed to write to the
Division of Highways to ascertain if this request could be complied
with.
The matter of set-back for a service station on North Monterey
Street is discussed.It is decided that the sidewalk width being 14
station
feet the/should be set back at least eight feet from the inside line
of the sidewalk thereby conforming with other stations on Monterey
Street.
A request fram Phil Lombardo,to change the ~ront doors of his place
of business from double doors to a single door with the addition of
panels,is made. No action is taken.
Councilman Rogers discusses the proposed extension to the building
occupied by him on North Monterey street, said addition to be of steel
frame and corrugated iron construction. No objection is made.

The matter of clearing the channel of the s~gh west of the bridle
on North Monterey street is discussed. It is decided to asaertain the
cost of the proposed work.
