This regular monthly meeting of the Common Counc il is called to
order by BisBonor Mayor George C.Mi1ias,Jr.
Present:Councilmen George A.Martin,James Battersby,J.H.Wentworth,
David V.Stout. Absent: Councilmen George M.Mason,Nat Heiner.
Minutes of the meeting of March 1,1943 are read and approved.
An anonymous cOIDD1unication is read in which complaint is made
about dogs running at large and damaging Victory Gardens and lawns.
The health report is presented and read and ordered pJa ced on file.
The matter of dogs running at large is discussed and the Clerk is
instructed to notify the Poundmaster the make a concerted effort
within the next thirty days to rid the city of unlicensed dogs.
The matter of an alley from tth street to 8th street between
Eigl eberry and Church street s is now di scussed.
Moti on by Coune ilman Martin, seconded by Counc ilman Stout and

carrie d that the matter of an alley from 7th Street to 8th Street,
between Eigleberry and Church streets be referred to the City
Engineer and the City Attorney for investigation and a report at
the next meeting of the Council.
The matter of weeds on vacant lots is now di scu$sed. It is agreed
that prop erty owners should be give n to ,Apr il 30th to do this work
