Minutes of the regular monthly meeting of March 5th and regular adjourned meeting of I:arch 19th,1951 are read and approved. The Building Inspector's report for March,1951 is presented and read and ordered placed on file. NOWIT H{REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Common Council of the City of Gilroy, that the said subdivision hereinbefore mentioned the sale being tract No.725, Rea Subdivision Eo.3, be approved and the Map thereof accepted for filing, upon the execution by the said Lillian R.Radin and Virginia Cix of an agreement that they will comply with the requirements of the aforesaid resolution as to every particular lot in the subdivision if an when it is sold, and that they will in any event construct and install sidewalks,curbs and gutters in the entire subdivision within a period of two years from the 2nd day of January,1951, and within the said time if required by the Common Council oil and grade the streets and alleys in the subdivision irrespective of whether all the lots therein are sold or not, and furnish a surety bond to be approved by the City Attorney of the City of Gilroy that will comply with the said agreement. The Chief Administrative Officer is directed to obtain the necessary signs limiting parking on Zigelberry Street between Yourth Street and Sixth Street to two hours and to have the parking spaces painted. Mr.Stanley Karp owner:; of property located on the south side of First Street between Carmel and Princevalle Streets now appears fefore the Coouncil to discuss the provision made in the Zoning Ordinance for future width line on First street stating that under the present circumstances he mould have to place the sidewalk and curb on his property. This matter is referred to the Street Committee with instructions to consult the Division of Highways. 1242 The matter of changing the present parking system on Monterey Street to "ttiain Stall" parking is discussed.L Lr.Tllery A.','Iiilson representing Safety Striping; Service now ap)ears before the Council to discuss the proposed "twin stall" parkin{; system and it is agreed that Hr. 71,ilson should make a survey of Dlonterey Street to determine whether or not this system can be installed without the loss of an appreciable amount of parking spaces. it is unanimously agreed that the Council should meet Tmesday,April 3rd at 1 o'clock P.L1. to hear the results of I4ir.7ilson *s survey. (No quorum was present at the Tuesday meeting but lvgr. ;Vilson made his report and it was deteri.�ined that T'twin stall" parking could be used and he was instructed to proceed and to mark parking spaces on Figelberry Street bett£ieen Fourth and Sixth streets and side streets between Monterey Street and Railroad tracks and Lionterey Street to Eigelberry Street between Fourth Street qnd Sixth Street.) Councilman ' ",entworth reports that the Street Corzmittee met with Off Street Parking Comrlittee of the Chamber of Cormiierce.to discuss possible location of off - street parking facilities. He.reported'. that LIr.71.B.Stuaft owner of property on the North side of Iaartin Street between Railroady alley and rear of Odd Fellows building has of_'ered to grant the city free use of the property for off - street parking providing the city will keep the area clean. Councilman 'l;entworth is instructed to ascertain the cost of placing the property in proper condition to use for off- street parking. Reports of the city officers are presented and read. I. The Mayor now discusses the subject of numerous dogs running at large and the matter of a new-.ordinance for the Poundmaster to administer.
