Minutes 1951/10/221288 Gilroy,California October 22,1951 Th___s regular adjourned meeting of the Common Council is called to order by His Honor Mayor George C.Ylilias. Present: Councilmen: George lt.Ila son, J.H.Wentworth,James B.Thomas,, Carl W.rate. Absent:Councilmen David V.Stout,Dale D.Daniels. Councilman Wenwvvth discusses the matter of fill for 9th ;street from Alexander Street to Pacheco Pass Road stating that fill can be purchased for $1.05 per yard. 1289 The Ixayor now discusses the meeting between a re- oresentative of the Public Utilities Co;nmission,Southern Pacife Company officials, Councilman 17entworth and himself at the 9th Jtreet Crossing on October 17,1951 to discuss the matter of crossing protection.The 'E'aygr states that he believes the city should not be required to pay any part of the expense connected with the installation and maintenance of necessary crossing protection. Motion by Councilman Wentworth,seconded by Councilman Igason and carried that the city purchase from John R.Paroline the necessary be amount of fill to /delivered spread and rolled on 9th Street from the intersection of Alexander Street to the Pacheco Pass Road at $1.05 per cubic yard. RESOLUTION YO.270 is presented and read; Notion by Councilman Thomas,seconded by Councilman Pate that RE30LUTI0N NO.270 be adopted. 1iE SOLUT ION NO-270 ICE ITRESOLVED by the 1r ayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy, that said City of Gilroy hereby accepts the conveyance hereto attached and consents to the recordation thereof.
