The City Clerk noted that the Agenda had been posted on January 30,
1997 - 10:15 a.m.
M. A. Bowe, President ofthe Board of Trustees introduced Mr. A. Stanley
Corey, Interim Superintendent of Schools of the Gilroy Unified School District.
Motion was made by Councilman Valdez seconded by Councilman Gilroy
that the following items under the Consent Calendar (noting revised copy of
Resolution No. 97-12 to include exhibits) be approved by the following Roll Call

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
APPROVING AlS 96-22 (PUD), AN APPLICATION FOR ARCHITECTURAL
AND SITE APPROVAL OF A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT (PUD)
INVOLVING APPROXIMATELY .67 ACRES, APN 790-21-023.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of February, 1997, by the following vote:

Personnel Commissioner Trelut gave the Personnel Commission Report
noting an update of the Commission's future goals and proposed plans with a
request to conduct Personnel Commission Meetings every other month. A
vacancy on the Personnel Commission was noted for appointment at a future date.
The Mayor recognized City of Morgan Hill Councilmember Cynthia Cook
present in the audience.
The Mayor continued with the regular order of the Agenda.
The Mayor asked if there was anyone in the audience wishing to speak on
any matter not on the agenda. There was no comment from anyone in the
audience.

The Minutes ofthe South County Regional Wastewater Authority
(SCRW A) October 22, 1996 Meeting were noted.
City Administrator Pro tempore Dorn distributed a Staff Report regarding
the Nob Hill Pre-Annexation Agreement.
City Administrator Protempore Dorn noted the Capital Improvement
Budget Study Session scheduled for February 13, 1997 at 5:30 p.m.
The Mayor noted the City received the Helen Putnam Award and is
scheduled to receive same in Sacramento at the Governor's Office on February 20,
1997 and requested Councilmembers wishing to attend to contact him.
Councilwoman Rogers noted the Violence Seminar is scheduled and
requests the Police Chief or his delegate and City Attorney attend.
Councilman Gilroy noted a meeting scheduled for February 28, 1997 at
Noon of the Council/Chamber Board of Directors/ Business Partners regarding
feedback from the Council retreat.
Councilman Springer noted the Special Election February 4, 1997 for
Supervisor and encouraged everyone to vote.
The Mayor noted the following meetings and events:
Gilroy City Council Tour of the Communications Center of Santa Clara
County, 2700 Carol Drive, San Jose, CA 95125, Monday, February 10, 1997 from
10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to view Buildings and Programs; and
Joint Study Session of the Gilroy City Council/Parks & Recreation and
Planning Commissioners to Discuss General Plan Revisions, City Council
Chambers, City Hall, 7351 Rosanna Street, Gilroy, Monday, February 10, 1997 -
7 :00 p.m.
At 7:26 p.m. the Mayor adjourned the meeting, noting cancellation ofthe
Study Session re: the City of Gilroy's Capital Improvement Budget proposed for
1997 to 2001 and furtner adjomned to Tuesday, February 18, 1997 (February 17,
1997 Legal Holiday).
