RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY
ACCEPTING THE DEDICATION OF CERTAIN STRIPS OF LAND
LYING BETWEEN THE LmBS OF STRBETS AND LINES EACH
DESIGNATED AS "FUTURE ALLEY LINE" AS SHOWN ON THE
MAP OF CASTLE\'I00D PARK UNIT NO.1, TBAC'l' NO. 506"
AND TERMINATING THE RElERVATION TO THE SUBDIVIDER
AND SUCCESSIVE OWNERS OF LOTS IN SAID SUBDIVISION
OF CERTAIN RIGRI'S OF USE INCLUDED IN THE OWNERS'
CERTIFICATE SET FORTH ON SAID MAP
WHEREAS, the map of CASTLEWOOD PARK UNIT NO.1, TRACT NO. 506,
a subdivision in Las Antmas Ranchlot 16 was filed and recorded in
the office of the County Recorder of Santa Clara County in Book 18
of Maps, at Page 40, on the 15th day of June, 1948: and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the filing and recordation of said
map, the said tract of land included within the said subdivision
was annexed to and became a part of the City of Gilroy: and
WHEREAS, included in the owners' certificate forming a part
of the said map is the following statement or declaration: "We
also hereby dedicate for public use those certain strips of land
lying between the lines of streets and the lines each designated
as "future alley line", as shown on said map within said subdivision,
reserving to ourselves for the use of successive owners of the
respective lots certain rights of use of such portions of said
strips of land as lie within the boundaries of said respective
lots, said rights of use being such as are incidental to the care,
planting and cultivation of such portions of said strips of land,
but not including the constructions of buildings or structures of
any kind, excepting irrigation and sprinkling systems and appur-
tenances thereto: said reservation of such rights to terminate and
to be of no further effect at such time as the governing body
having ;urisdiction shall order the strips of land opened as public
alleys", and the said reservation included in the foregoing part
of the said owners' certificate by its terms may be terminated
and be of no further effect at such time as the governing body
having jurisdiction shall order the strips of land opened as
public alleys and the Council of the City of Gilroy finds that

the public welfare, necessity, safety and health requires that the
said strips of land above referred to, designated as "future alley
line" be opened as public alleys in the city of Gilroy and the
said reservation above referred to be terminated in accordance
with the right so to do therein set forth.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED and it is hereby ordered that
the reservation of those certain strips of land above referred to
is hereby terminated and declared to be of no further effect and
the said area between the said lines designated It future alley line"
on said map is hereby accepted as an alley in the city of Gilroy
and are hereby opened as public alleys of said City.
