I. OPENING
A. Cali to Order
Mayor Woodward called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
The Pledge of Allegiance was led by Council Member Harney.
The Invocation was given by Bishop Jim Rawlings, Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints.
City Clerk Shawna Freels announced that the agenda had been posted on
November 16, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.

for assistance provided by the Police Department.

The presentation was given by Vice Chair Leo Gonzalez.

Council Member Velasco announced Shop Small Saturday asking the community
to shop at local businesses.
Mayor Pro Tempore Leroe -Munoz spoke on the Silicon Valley Regional
Interoperability Authority cell tower installation, and then shared details of county

efforts to attain National Heritage Area designation announcing a meeting in
Morgan Hill on December 14th at 6:30 p.m.

Ron Kirkish spoke on the need to add staff, suggesting that internal staff be
considered for promotion.

Motion: to Approval of Public Works Management reorganization and;
approve a budget amendment funding the increased cost associated with
the higher level City Engineer /Traffic Engineer and Deputy Director of
Public Works /Operations Manager positions.
