Resolution 2017-29RESOLUTION NO. 2017-29 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY ESTABLISHING SPECIAL COMPENSATON ELEMENTS FOR POLICE CHIEF SCOT A. SMITHEE EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2017 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Gilroy does establish salaries and compensation for city officers and employees by resolution. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that effective August 1, 2017 the following compensation elements are hereby approved and established for Police Chief Scot A. Smithee: • 4% of base salary in recognition of the completion of State of California Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Command College. • 2% of base salary in recognition of attainment of a State of California Police Officer Standards and Training (POST) Executive Management Certificate.
