I am in support of the City of Gilroy declaring the month of May Affordable Housing ,on an
ongoing yearly basis. I realize that this is only a symbolic measure, but in actuality it's meant
to bring into focus the commitment that this city has in trying to acquire funds to bring some
housing relief as well as to educate our community. This is an unprecedented time in our state
where there is money and non-profit organizations ready to help. Should AB 2094 pass each
city will have to declare the measures they have taken towards this stride what will be this
cities response?
In the last city council meeting several voiced that the month of April had been declared fair
housing yes, it had, but there is a distinct difference between the two.
(If my statement could be read out in the meeting tonight, It would be greatly appreciated.
