Agenda Item # 9.3 - Christel Morley | Received 07/26/2022From: To: Christina Ruiz; Kraig Tambomini Subject: EXTERNAL - RE: RE Aug 1 CC Meeting Comments on 700 W 6th Agenda Item 9.3 Date: Tuesday, July 26, 2022 4:07:55 PM ICAUTION: This email originated from an External Source. Please use proper judgment and caution when opening attachments, clicking links, or responding to this email. Christina and Kraig, Thank you both for the response regarding the above mentioned project. I am sending you the comments that each of the Council Members received. Please add these to the CC packet: Regards, Christel Dear Mayor and Council Members, I have emailed you previously with respect to my family's interest in this project. We live on Georgetown Place, and our backyard abuts the project site. The developer was nice enough to have a conversation with us about the project and we recognize that the proposed project is a good use for the property from the community's perspective. In our conversation with the developer, we identified a number of modest changes to the project that would make for a better outcome for the neighborhood - new and existing. Although the developer was not willing to conunit to these elements on their own, they acknowledge the reasonableness of the requests and would not be concerned if the Council were to condition the project to include them. With that said, here are the four project conditions we ask the Council to include with the motion for project approval: 1. Work with neighbors on the southerly property line to place an additional nine Saratoga Laurel trees to ensure adequate screening for privacy. 2. Install a gate with access code on the south easterly corner of the property to allow resident access while providing security to a pathway that could be subject to vandalism. 3. Provide red curb on both sides of Princevalle at Georgetown to allow for vehicles to easily exit onto Princevalle. 4. Mitigate disruption from construction by providing quarterly window cleaning to residents adjacent to the project for the duration of construction. We feel these are modest requests given the ma nitude of the project. I have included the letter we sent to the developer as an attaclunent as it provides additional context that may be useful to you in your deliberations. If you would like to discuss this with me. I am available any time. Sincerely, Christel Morley 8 Development behind Georgetown
