The City of Gilroy would be joining the Cities of Morgan HIl, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz and Sunnyvale along with a host of other organizations and institutions, and individuals like me, who recognize the damaging impacts upon the environment, wildlife and cultural resources if the Sargent Ranch Quarry development application is allowed to move forward. I have submitted a comment letter to the County of Santa Clara Planning Dept. addressing the shortcomings of the Quarry Project in the context of Hydrology and Water Quality. While there are numerous regional concerns, the development site is within the 'sphere of influence' for the City of Gilroy, so it is important that City voice its opposition to Sargent Ranch Quarry. Thank you for your consideration. CAUTION: This email originated from an External Source. Please use proper judgment and caution when opening attachments, clicking links, or responding to this email.
