The negative impact of such a mine will be felt by all humans, animals, plants and the water. The Amah Mutsun Tribal Band have expressed their deep concern of the huge desecration to their very sacred land if this mine will be built there. In addition, the impact to the wildlife whose habitat will be destroyed is unconscionable. The plants that will be destroyed is another big concern. Of course the waste of precious water. After building an open pit mine, the nature that exists today can never be reclaimed. I am deeply shocked that in the year 2022 when so much knowledge is now being recognized if all the land that was stolen from the Indigenous people throughout the USA and especially here in this area, that the building of an open pit mine on Sacred Land would even be considered! Also, with current Climate Crisis that everyone in the world is facing, makes it even more unacceptable to destroy nature when we so badly need it. Along with this is the destruction of nature which helps prevent flooding and helps to preserve water while we are still experiencing severe drought, makes no sense. Please vote "no" for the application for an open-pit mine on Juristac! Respectfully Donna Wallach
