Resolution No. 2022-79 | PG&E Utility Easement Deed #1 Downtown Gourmet Parking Lot | Adopted 10/17/2022 RESOLUTION NO. 2022-79 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY AUTHORIZING THE CITY ADMINISTRATOR, OR DESIGNEE, TO EXECUTE AN EASEMENT DEED TO PACIFIC GAS & ELECTRIC COMPANY (PG&E) FOR N EW FACILITIES WITHIN APN 799 -08-045 WHEREAS, the City of Gilroy is constructing a new parking lot, referred to as the Downtown Gourmet Parking Lot, at the northeast corner of Eigleberry and Seventh Streets; and WHEREAS, the new parking lot will include electric vehicle charging stations and parking lot lighting; and WHEREAS, the electric vehicle charging stations and parking lot lighting will require the installation of new facilities within City-owned parcel APN 799-08-045, including a pad-mounted transformer and underground conduits and wiring; and WHEREAS, to accommodate the new facilities, a new easement of approximately 175 square feet in area is required; and WHEREAS, City staff has reviewed the new easement and proposed facilities and found that they will not conflict with the City’s other utilities within the immediate area; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City grant this easement to PG&E for the placement of these planned facilities. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY authorizes the City Administrator, or Designee, to Execute an Easement Deed to Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E) for Facilities within APN 799 -08-045.
