To Members of the City Council,
My name is Renee Rocca and I live at 700 Antonio Ct.
At the planning committee on October 6th Adriana Leongardt was against the RW project due to
concerns of the fire danger. I agree with her concerns. The access to this proposed project is a circular
street that you can enter from Imperial Dr. or Filbro Dr. off Princevalle. It would seem to be difficult for
evacuation and fire trucks to maneuver. I realize the fire department has already done a study and would
like to know where I can find that report.
Traffic issues will also be a nightmare with approximately 90 plus or more cars trying to get onto
Princevalle along with the Gilroy High School traffic. Are there any plans for another exit route, maybe on
to Tenth St. by the levy behind the High School. Please advise where I can find that the traffic issues
have been addressed.
The fences that border our backyards and the RW Project will have to come down. We would prefer brick
and mortar as there will be a walking path along our backyards, which will cause our dogs to become
protective of their property and eventually cause damage to the fence. This would also keep down the
barking which will cause complaints and jeopardize our dogs well being. However, I believe the
developers have agreed to put up a sturdy 8 foot fence with 6' X6" posts which will be weather treated on
both sides. This would be acceptable.
Santa Clara Valley Water Company owns a small piece of property back there and early this summer
pulled out all the beautiful trees by their roots behind our houses taking away all our shade and privacy.
We received an email from Jose Villarreal Public Information Representative for the SCVW advising they
will be planting 8 trees in January to replace the ones they tore out. I would like it to be on record that the
RW Project will leave the trees alone as they will be located in the area that is proposed for the picnic
area.
Thank you for your time.
Renee Rocca
