Persons wishing to address the Commission are requested, but not required, to complete a Speaker’s Card located at the entrances. Completion of this speaker’s card is voluntary. All persons may attend this meeting and speak, regardless if a card is completed or not. Speaker’s slips should be submitted to the Secretary BEFORE this portion of the meeting begins. Anyone wishing to address the Commission on any other item on this AGENDA is requested, but not required, to fill out a speaker’s slip as well and submit it to the Secretary BEFORE the Commission takes action on the item. Fundraising - working on flyer for 2022 Breakfast with Santa event for December. Sub-committee for event planning will meet next week and report back at November meeting. 3. Two Commissioners attended the Chalk Festival held in Downtown on Saturday, October 8, 2022. 4. M.A.N.O.S held their Chalk Festival on Saturday, October 8, 2022. No reimbursement requests have been received yet but they have until December to file. • ACC will follow up with them by e-mail to invite them back to give a debrief of their event. VIII. COMMISSION COMMENTS (Arts-Related) · Commissioner Federico Saldana attended the ArtWalk Livermore · Commissioner Carter attended the Mountainview Art & Wine Festival · Commissioner Perdew asked if the School Art Show could capture younger age students, Commissioner Saldana stated he would mention it to show coordinator but also mentioned that in the past Middle Schools just weren’t ready for it. IX. STAFF COMMENTS · Recruitment Applications for Commissioners are ongoing at this time, accepting applications continuously. · Two ACC Commissioners’ terms are expiring on December 31, 2022. · Candidates can apply for more than one Commission at the same time, but wou ld only serve in one Commission if appointed. The commission also holds a retreat once per year where they set their workplan for the next 12 months. In 2022, the commission scheduled to meet 10 times and two months of no meetings and the retreat was held in March. The commission may choose to do the retreat at a different date and time.
