NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Gilroy City Council will hold a public hearing
on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the item can be heard.
The meeting will be held in person at Gilroy City Hall Council Chambers, located at 7351
Rosanna Street Gilroy, CA, on the following:
Project Number: Architectural and Site Plan Review No. AS 22-24
Project Title: Plaza Allium Sign Program Amendment
Project Applicant: Alex Gonzalez, Evergreen 10th and Chestnut, LLC
Property Owner: Evergreen 10th and Chestnut, LLC
Project Location: Northeast corner of Tenth and Chestnut Streets
Assessor Parcel No: 841-66-036, 037, 038 and 03
Project Description: Request to amend the sign program approved with application AS
20-14 and increase the height allowance of the freeway oriented pylon signage by five-
feet, with an overall height of 80 feet, and increase in sign width by 4 feet. The sign area
would reduce from 720 square feet to 515 square feet.
CEQA Determination: A Mitigated Negative Declaration (SCH # 2021060521) was
adopted for the proposed commercial development project on September 20, 2021, and
no further environmental review is required pursuant to the California Environmental
Quality Act (CEQA) Guidelines Section 15162.
Planning Commission Recommendation: On February 2, 2023, the Planning
Commission reviewed the project and recommended approval of Tentative Map
application AS 22-24 by a vote of 7-0.
A detailed description of the proposal is on file with the Community Development
Department at City Hall. The staff report for the proposal may also be viewed on the City
website (www.cityofgilroy.org) by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the meeting.
Interested parties are encouraged to attend this public hearing as this is the time and
place when comments on the proposals shall be heard and given due consideration.
The meeting will also be broadcast live on the City of Gilroy’s website at
www.cityofgilroy.org.

Persons who are unable to attend this public hearing may submit written comments by
email to the project planner noted below, or by delivering them to the Planning Division
at City Hall, 7351 Rosanna St. Gilroy, CA. 95020 prior to, or at the public hearing to be
incorporated into the record. If you challenge the decisions at this hearing, you may be
limited to raising only those issues you or someone else raised at the hearing, described
in this notice, or in written correspondence delivered to the City at or prior to the meeting.
