NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Gilroy City Council will hold a public hearing
on Monday, June 5, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the item can be heard.
The meeting will be held in person at Gilroy City Hall Council Chambers, located at 7351
Rosanna Street Gilroy, CA, on the following:

Project Description: Request for Planned Unit Development Zoning Amendment,
Architectural and Site Plan Review, and Tentative Map to amend the C3-HC-M2 Gilroy
Crossings Phase II PUD and approve the development of the 10.18-acre property with a
drive-through restaurant, gas station, convenience store, carwash, two four-story hotels
totaling 200 rooms, and two future industrial buildings on individual parcels.
CEQA Determination: An Initial Study/Mitigated Negative Declaration and Mitigation
Monitoring and Reporting Program have been prepared for the project in accordance with
the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The initial study has included an
updated traffic analysis using current vehicle miles traveled (VMT) thresholds and a
review of the current site characteristics and setting. Based on the initial study, the project
will have no significant effect because revisions to the project have been made or agreed
to by the project proponent. (State Clearinghouse Number: SCH 2023010472).
Planning Commission Recommendation: On May 4, 2023, the Planning Commission
reviewed the project and recommended approval of the Zoning Amendment, Architectural
and Site Review, and Tentative Map applications by a vote of 7-0.
A detailed description of the proposal is on file with the Community Development
Department at City Hall. The staff report for the proposal may also be viewed on the City
website (www.cityofgilroy.org) by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the meeting. Interested
parties are encouraged to attend this public hearing as this is the time and place when
comments on the proposals shall be heard and given due consideration. The meeting will
also be broadcast live on the City of Gilroy’s website at www.cityofgilroy.org.
