different arts and culture experiences on the page, and he offered to review that process
with everyone. Commissioner Dunkle would be able to post and remove items. It was

STAFF REPORT (Cathy Mirelez)
A. Cultural Arts Programs /Events
Fireworks Booth Fundraiser — special thanks to those Commissioners (and all of
our volunteers) who volunteered time in our Booth. Sales were down citywide,
due to the heat, but we should have a firm number regarding the monies raised
within the next few weeks. We are hoping to clear at least $7,500, after taxes and
product cost, for our Adaptive & Youth Programs.
Our Summer Theater Production, "Color My World" performed on Saturday,
June 22nd at 4:00 PM & 7:00 PM, at the Christmas Hill Park Amphitheater.
Attendance was approximately, 325 at each performance. It was a beautiful
venue, but presented a few logistical issues, as we were in an outdoor public space
and so the environment was not as controlled, and the younger children were a bit
distracted, but it was a great "first try" at the Amphitheater.
Registration has really picked -up in all of our Cultural Arts classes, which is an
indication that the economy is improving!
B. Museum Projects /Tours/Displays:
Museum volunteers are focusing their energies on the final disposition of
deaccessioned Gilroy Museum artifacts
STUDENT REPRESENTATIVES
STAFF COMMENTS
