NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Gilroy City Council will hold a public hearing on
Monday, September 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the item can be heard. The
meeting will be held in person at Gilroy City Hall Council Chambers, located at 7351 Rosanna
Street Gilroy, CA, on the following:

Project Title: Tentative Map for a 3-lot subdivision
Project Applicant: Amanda Musy-Verdel

Assessor Parcel No.: 779-11-068
Project Description: The project requests a Tentative Map to subdivide a 0.87-acre lot into three
parcels in the R-2 Two Family Residential zoning district. An existing historic single-family home
will remain, and no new construction is proposed.
CEQA Determination: The project is categorically exempt from the California Environmental
Quality Act under Section 15315 Class 15 “Minor Land Divisions” which exempts environmental
review for projects consisting of the division of property into four or fewer parcels when the division
is in conformance with the general plan and zoning, no other variances or exceptions requiring
environmental review are required, and all required services and access to the proposed parcels
to local standards are available.
Planning Commission Recommendation: On August 3, 2023, the Planning Commission
reviewed the project and recommended approval of Tentative Map application TM 22-03 by a
vote of 7-0.
A detailed description of the proposal is on file with the Community Development Department at
City Hall. The staff report for the proposal may also be viewed on the City website
(www.cityofgilroy.org) by 5:00 p.m. the Friday before the meeting. Interested parties are
encouraged to attend this public hearing as this is the time and place when comments on the
proposals shall be heard and given due consideration. The meeting will also be broadcast live on
the City of Gilroy’s website at www.cityofgilroy.org.
Persons who are unable to attend this public hearing may submit written comments by email to
the project planner noted below, or by delivering them to the Planning Division at City Hall, 7351
Rosanna St. Gilroy, CA. 95020 prior to, or at the public hearing to be incorporated into the record.
If you challenge the decisions at this hearing, you may be limited to raising only those issues you
or someone else raised at the hearing, described in this notice, or in written correspondence
delivered to the City at or prior to the meeting.
