Please use proper judgment and caution when opening attachments, clicking links, or responding to this email. Good Evening, I realize that this email is too late for tonight’s city council meeting, but I still wanted to speak to you given the importance of this issue. Before Glen Loma Ranch was full of new housing, I had to call 911 because my husband’s resting heart rate was over 200 and he was having chest pain. The firefighters got to us so quickly that I was astonished and incredibly thankful to have their help and support. I was terrified, but they took excellent care of my husband and were there to reassure me too. If something like that happened again today, we couldn’t count on a timely response. Due to the population increase and understaffing at the temporary fire station, people like my husband are at risk for worse outcomes. I do not know the all of the factors at play with this issue, but I can tell you there’s only one immediate solution: more firefighters. Our community needs them and they want to be here for us. Please increase the fire department’s daily minimum staffing levels and ensure that there will always be someone to quickly answer the call. Thank you. Sincerely, Lorrin Squatritto Sent from my iPhone
