PUBLIC COMMENT BY MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC ON ITEMS NOT ON THE AGENDA BUT WITHIN THE SUBJECT MATTER JURISDICTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL This part of the meeting allows public address on non-agenda topics within the Council's jurisdiction. Introduction and First Reading of an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Gilroy Amending Chapter 30, Article LIV of the Gilroy City Code Relating to Accessory Dwelling Units (Z 23-05) 1. Motion to read the ordinance by title only and waive further reading of the ordinance; and 2. Introduce an ordinance of the City Council of the City of Gilroy amending Chapter 30, Article LIV of the Gilroy City Code relating to accessory dwelling units and find that it is statutorily exempt from review under the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) pursuant to CEQA Guidelines Section 15282(h) for the adoption of an ordinance regarding November 20, 2023 | 6:00 PM Page 5 of 5 City Council Regular Meeting Preliminary Agenda second units in a single-family or multifamily residential zone by a city or county to implement the provisions of Section 65852.2 of the Government Code as set forth in Section 21080.17 of the Public Resources Code. 10.
