This proposal would be a great supplement to the park system. As a 17 year old, and both a
runner and mountain biker, the addition of these trails to the local plethora already found in
the South Bay is highly desirable. In particular, the mountain bike-specific trails are exciting
to me, as in our local hills we have a distinct lack of these trails existing already. As well as
the “fun” aspect that downhill mountain bike trails provide, trails of this kind invite much less
of a chance of collisions, and therefore injury, as there will not be any hikers or runners to
share with. These trails would be well-travelled and enjoyed by thousands of Bay Area bikers
and runners alike.
