AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION NO.379 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF GILROYO PROHIBITING FAST RIDING OR DRIVING WITHIN SAID CITY.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy, do ordain as follows,
gait:
Section 1. That Section No. 399 of the 1iinicipal Code of the City df
Gilroy, be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, towit:
"Section No.379. It shall be unlawful for any person to ride or
drive or operate a motor vehicle or conveyance or vehicle of any character
through or along any street, alley or highway within the limits of the
City at a rate of speed greater than is reasonable and proper, having re-
gard to the traffic and use of the Street, alley or highway, or so as to
endanger the life or limb of any person, or the safety of any property; or
in any event on any street, alley or highway within said City limits at
a greater rate of speed than one mile in six minutes."
Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
any of the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3Q This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on and
after its passage and (�� approval.
