AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 241 OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF GILROY RELATING TO THE ERECTION OF BUILDINGS WITHIN THE CITY
LIMITS.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy:do ordain as
follows;
Section 1. That Section No. 241 of the Municipal Code of the City
of Gilroy be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows, towit:
'Section 241. The exterior walls of all buildings hereafter erected
within the fire limits established by this Ordinance, and the exterior
walls of any building erected in any part of the City, after it shall
have been included within the fire limits shall be made abd constructed
of brick, concrete or stone, with parapets or fire walls at least two
feet above the roof on all sides. All roofs of such buildings within
the fire limits shall be covered with fire -proof materials and to be
constructed so as to afford protection against fire.
Provided, however, that this section shall not apply to the ereotm on

Section 2. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with
any of the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect and be fa force on
and after its passage and approval.
