AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
GILROY BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN AS
SECTION 419, RELATIVE TO CARD PLAYING AND TO Y INORS.
The Mayor and Common 004pcil of the City of Gilroy do
ordain as follows : -
Section 1.
A new section is hereby added to the Municipal Code
of the City of Gilroy to be known as section 4199 and to read
as follows : --
Section 419: It shall be unlawful for any person
conducting a saloon, bar -room, bowling alley, pool room,
billiard parlor, or any other place of business in the City
of Gilroy, to permit annV person under the age of 21 yew
play any game of cards inar�ty� �slo n, bxr6lm bo`�ling alley,

pool room, billiard parlor or any other place of business in
the City Of GilroyS conducted by him.
It shall be unlawful for any person under the age of
twenty -one years to represent to any person conducting a saloon
bal° -room, bowling alley, pool room, billiard parlor, or any
other place of business in the City of Gilroy, that he has
attained the age of twenty -one years.
Section 2:
Any person violating or wilfully non - complying with
the provisions of this Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor
and upon conviction thereof shall be punished with a fine not
to exceed One hundred Dollars or imprisonment in the City Prison
not to exceed thirty days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
Section 3:
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force
from and after its passage and approval.
