AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF
GILROY BY ADDING THERETO A NEW SECTION TO BE KNOWN XS SECTION
206, RELATIVE TO DRAIN PIPES ON SIDEWALKS.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do
ordain as follows : —
Section 1.
A new Section is hereby added to the Miatnicipal Mode
of the City of Milroy to be known as Section 206, and to read
as follows:—
Section 206: No drain pipe or water spout
carrying rain water from any roof or building shall be permitted
to empty upon, or flow over, any sidewalk in the City of Gilroy.
Rain water may be conducted in a pipe from any roof or building
down the side of such building and under the sidewalk to the
gutter.
Section 2:
Any person violating or wilfully noncomplying with
the provisions of this Ordinance is guilty of a misdemeanor, -.
and upon conviction thereof, shall be punished with a fine not
to exceed. One hundred Dollars, or by imprisonment in the City
prinon not exceeding thirty daya, or by both such fine and
imprisonment.
Section 3:
This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from
