A� ORDINANCE AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY
OF GILROY BY ADDING VIERETO A NWIT - RECTION TO BE
KNOWN AS SECTION 418, PROHIBITING THE DEPOSIT
OF SWEEPINGS, RUBBISH AND DEBRIS ITT ANYhPURLIO
STREET OR ALLEY.
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do
ordain aq follows:—
Section 1
There is hereby added to the Municipal Code of the City
Of Gilroy a new section to he known as Section 418, to read as

Section 418,
It shall be unlawful for any person to deposit

broken glass, rubbish or garbage, or the contents of any spittoon
or cuspidor, or debris of any description from any dwelling
house or place of ri.tsiness upon any public street or alley of
the City of Gilroy, or to sweep any of the rubbish above Men-
tinned into any gutterway of said City.
Section 2.
Any person violating or wilfully non — complying with Any
of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor, and shall, upon conviction thereof., be punished by
a fine not exceeding One hundred Dollars, or by imprisonment in
the City Prison not exceeding thirty days, or by both such fine
and imprisonment.
Section 3.
This ordinance shall take effect and be in force on
and after its passage and approval.
