Ordinance 262ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING $HE NUMBER OF LIQUOR LICENSES VIIICH IJAY 3E 3RANTED BYnTHE !JAYOR AND COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GILROY, SPECIFYING THE' RLOBKS OR DISTRICTS '.WITHIN WHICH LICENSES MAY BE GRANTED, AND FIXING THE NUMBER OF LICENSES WHIOH MAY BE ISSUED IN SAID BLOCKS OR DISTRICTS. The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Gilroy do ordain as follows:- section 1. No license shall be issued or granted to any person firm or corporation to carry on or engage in the business of selling, dispensing or giving away distilled, fermented, malt, vinous, or any spirituous, or intoxicating liquors, or wines of any kind, either in wholesale or retail quantities, in the City of Gilroy in any place other than in those certain blocks or districts hereafter described, and no greater number of licenses than fifteen shall be granted at any one time, which said licenses -may be granted in the blocks or districts described as follows:- a. The block or district bounded by Blourth, Fifth, Eigle•- berry and Monterey Streets, in the City of Gilroy. b. The district bounded by Lewis -reet on the North, Railroad Alley on the East, Railroad Avenue on the South and Monterey Street on the West. c. The district bounded by Sixth Street on the North, Monterey Street on the Fast, �c3venth Street on the South and Eigleberry Street on the 'Jest. Section 2. This ordinance shall not a Ply to licenses provided for Manufacturing liquor dealres. Section 3. All ordinances and parts of Ordinances ih conflict herewith are hereby repealed. Section 4. This ordinance shali be in effect from and after its passave and. approval. Adopted at a regular meeting of the 1141 or and Common Council of the City of Gilroy on the �� day of J-PUS I A.D. 1914, by the following vote.
